As I have said, after the paving project is completed, you will certainly enjoy the way it all looks. Yet, as time passes by, the great appearance might just end up fading and the truth is that you cannot blame it all on the time and the weather. Of course, those two factors play a huge role here, but so do you. In other words, if you don’t maintain your asphalt correctly, it is bound to get stained.
Oh, well, it is what it is. The asphalt is stained and there is nothing you can do about it now, am I right? I most definitely am not! Now, I can understand if you aren’t quite knowledgeable when it comes to cleaning asphalt surfaces. It’s not like they teach you this at school and it’s definitely not like you needed it every so often while growing up. Get The Dish Soap
Before you start pouring dish soap all over the area, let me quickly clarify one thing. You should always wash the surface using a hose first, because you’ll get rid of any debris that might have accumulated that way. After doing that, you should get the dish soap and try washing off the stains that are bothering you with this substance. Dish soap is great for removing oil and grease and all you have to do is pour it over the stains and scrub with a little bit of water and a brush. Of course, rinsing it afterward is necessary.
Use Powder Detergent
Similar to the above, you can opt for powder detergent instead of dish soap. The process here is a bit different, though. Basically, after scrubbing the area, you should let the detergent sit for an hour or so, in order for it to penetrate the stains. Only after that time has passed should you rinse. Hand Sanitizer
Here’s our surprise for the day! Believe it or not, your hand sanitizer can serve much more purposes than simply, well, sanitizing your hands. These products have shown to be of amazing help when it comes to removing sap and other types of stains from asphalt surfaces, so you should definitely give it a try, especially if you have had a few failed attempts at cleaning the area. The process is the same as above – you pour, you scrub, you rinse and you enjoy your stainless asphalt.
