Retirement is one of those big life events – like leaving home for the first time, getting married or having a baby it is one of life’s milestones. To some people, it can be a daunting time. It is a big change to go from going into work every day to feeling that you have a lot of time on your hands!

Of course, it is exciting, and is a great opportunity to do lots of things that you may have always wanted to do, but if you are not certain what you do want to do in your retirement it can be a strange time and a big adjustment to make.

One of the things that a lot of people like to do when they retire is move to a new home. Some places, like these Park Home Life Wiltshire park homes are great for recently retired people, as they have a good community feel, as well as being focussed on people in that stage of life.

Moving to a home that is more suitable to your needs that you have now is also a good way to get more out of your retirement. Many people stay in a family home that is simply too large for them now that the children have grown up and left home – selling a larger house and moving can free up some money that you can use to enjoy your retirement – seeing the world or spending time finding new hobbies for example.
